Pay Scale details of Head Constable and Sub inspector:
Pay Scale for the Post of Head Constable is  Rs. 5,200 – 20,200 plus Grade pay Rs. 2,400 and HRA, DA, Ration Allowances, Special Allowances etc.,
Pay Scale for the Post of Assistant Sub Inspector (RM) is  Rs. 5,200 – 20,200 plus Grade pay Rs. 2,800 and HRA, DA, Ration Allowances, Special Allowances etc.,
Eligibility Criteria for BSF Recruitment 2016:
Education Qualification:
Education Qualification For the Post of Assistant Sub Inspector (RM) Matriculation with 3 years Diploma in Radio & TV technology or Electronics or Telecommunication or Computer or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering  or Domestic Appliances from any recognized institute by Central or state governments
10+2 or Intermediate or equivalent with 50% aggregate marks with the selective subject Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from recognized board or university

Education Qualification For the post of Head Constable (RO) Matriculation or equivalent and 2 years Industrial training Institute Certificate in Radio & TV or Electronics or Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent with the selective subject Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from recognized board or university
Age limit:
Candidates who were interested to apply BSF Recruitment and their age should between 18- 25 years and age relaxation will be applicable based on the eligibility, age relaxation 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC Candidates,  
Application Fee: The examination fee will be paid through Bank Draft in favor of Inspector General/DIG/Comdt, to whom the print out of application has to be sent and payable at respective SBI/ Post office.
General /OBC – Rs. 50/-
SC, ST & BSF Serving personnel and Women related to all categories are exempted to pay the fee.
Selection Process:
BSF Head Constable and Assistant Sub Inspector Recruitment candidate selection process will be held in two stages
Written Test: Written test will be conducted in two parts, part one will be OMR Based screening test (held on September 25th 2016), Part two is descriptive Test (held on 18th December 2016)
 Part one Written test will be conducted for 100 questions for 200 marks, with 2 hours time
Syllabus for Written Test
Physics – 50 marks (25 questions)
Chemistry – 50 Marks (25 questions)
Mathematics – 50 Marks (25 questions)
English and general knowledge- 50 Marks (25 questions)
Note: Negative marking will be there, one mark will deducted for every two wrong answers  and 38 marks is pass mark for General and OBC students and 33 marks is marks for SC/ST students.
Part Two Descriptive test will be conducted for part one pass students only..
Descriptive Test Part A –Essay Questions from Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry for 100 marks, on intermediate standard
Descriptive Test Part B – 100 marks for Dictation Test (English Writting)
Physical Standard Test including medical exam test
